Halal Certification — a Straight Answer
Halal certification is commonly required for food imports across the Gulf, and for many product categories it is not optional.
We do not currently hold Halal certification. Turmeric and dried chilli are single-ingredient plant products with no animal-derived inputs and no processing aids in our supply chain, but that is a description of the product, not a substitute for a certificate. If your market or your customer requires certified Halal, tell us at enquiry stage and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it on your timeline rather than discovering it at the border.
We would rather lose an order than have a consignment held. The same applies to organic certification, which we also do not hold.
Practicalities
Product labelling and shelf-life declaration requirements differ between Gulf states and are periodically revised — confirm the current pack with your clearing agent before the container is booked.
